Hi, I’m Yesenia. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Florida and Nevada, and currently a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. As a proud Latinx clinician, I bring cultural sensitivity, compassion, and a no-nonsense approach to the therapy room.
I specialize in trauma work and use EMDR to support clients in healing from painful experiences like abuse, loss, discrimination, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about supporting women in reconnecting to their power, finding their voice, and rewriting the narratives that have held them back. I also specialize in working with men’s issues; finding meaning, breaking away from the deep, toxic masculinity, and being your own man in your power.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative, with a bit of humor when it’s needed most. I’m an eclectic therapist, drawing from evidence-based models such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Bowen Family Systems, and experiential and narrative therapies. I also integrate mindfulness and mind-body work to help you feel grounded and more in tune with yourself.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, eating issues, or just feel stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you. If you're ready to take the first step, let’s connect for a free consultation and see if we’re a good fit.
